Retained Firefighters
To Become a Retained Firefighter you must live or work within four minutes of a retained station.

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Career National Campaign
In December 2009, the Communities and Local Government department launched the “Ordinary People, Extraordinary Career” National Campaign. The aim of this national campaign is to break down myths and barriers in the way people perceive Fire and Rescue Services and to encourage people from groups currently under represented in the work force to consider a Fire and Rescue Service career.
