General Careers Information
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service currently employs over 900 people and is committed to becoming fully representative of the diverse communities it serves. By achieving this, not only will we become a more interesting and equitable place to work, we will also be in a better position to provide the kind of service that the community needs. A pre-requisite for reaching this goal is to identify and dismantle any barriers that may exist in the way we attract, motivate, develop and retain our staff.
We need all kinds of people with all kinds of skills and experiences to take on a wide range of roles. These roles include Firefighters, Community Safety Workers, Human Resources Advisors, Finance Assistants, Communications Officers, Secretaries, Administration Assistants, various Managers and IT Technicians.
Such challenging work means that it is essential for our staff to be trained and developed, building on the skills, experiences, knowledge and competencies they bring to their roles. We encourage career development for every member of staff and take great pride in their achievements.
We offer an excellent benefits package including a highly competitive pay structure, generous pension schemes, part-time working, flexible working hours in many departments and a childcare voucher scheme. On top of a generous rewards package, there is also the opportunity to rapidly grow your skills and knowledge within a progressive environment.
