Education
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and partner agencies to share this commitment.
We actively seek to contribute to the five Every Child Matters outcomes for all children in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Schools Programme
Currently our Community Safety Educators deliver the Schools Education programme. The programme is delivered free of charge to Year One and Year Five children in all primary schools in our service area, and to Year Eight students in targeted secondary schools. For more information, click here
FireCare
FireCare is a free, confidential service for young fire setters from three to 18 years, and their families, across the whole service area (Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland). The aim is to educate the young person about the dangers of fire and deter them from further fire setting. Referrals are taken from anyone; either directly from parents or from any agency with parental permission to refer, and can be made over the phone through the Firecare Coordinator or via Information Management.
