Week by Week Guide to the Team Programme
Week One
This week is spent undertaking team building activities to encourage team members to get to know each other and start working together. The team plan menus and shop for food for their outward bound residential . A Team Contract is written establishing groundrules for the twelve weeks of the course.



Week Two - Outward Bound
The team spend an exciting week based in Derbyshire or Cumbria. Under the guidance of trained instructors, the team undertake a range of challenging activities such as abseiling, climbing, raft building, caving and search and rescue exercises.


Weeks Three and Four - Fundraising
The team raise funds for the community project of their choice. Fund raising activities can include car washing, sponsored events and bag packing at local supermarkets.


Weeks Five and Six - Community Project
Past projects have involved teams creating a sensory garden at a senior citizens home, decorating rooms at the Nomad Trust and painting a mural on a wall at a local school.



Weeks Seven and Eight - Work Placements
Team Members spend these two weeks on individual work placements of their choice.
Week Nine - Next Steps
This week focuses on post-programme preparation. Team members are helped with job search strategies, writing a curriculum vitae and improving interview skills.
Week Ten - Fundraising
Fund raising and planning for the Final Team Challenges.
Week Eleven - Final Team Challenge
These are ‘people based’ challenges where the team work with different groups of local people such as the disabled, elderly, special needs children etc.

Week Twelve
The team prepare for their final presentation which takes place in front of invited dignitaries, family and friends. The presentation celebrates what has been achieved over the twelve week course.
