FireBeat

FireBeat is a community initiative whereby pairs of firefighters on bikes engage with local communities with the aim of diverting young people into positive activities in areas affected by deliberate secondary fires.

FireBeat operates at weekends, school holidays, and on Bonfire Night and Halloween.

Firefighters carry quiz cards to educate children about arson, and footballs and frisbees are used as tools to divert young people. Timetables for local youth activities are also carried. The quiz cards are entered into a prize draw and two winners receive a trip to their local Fire and Rescue Station.
