Firefighters Free Driver From Train Crash

 

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance at a train collision
in the Grove Lane area in Barrow Upon Soar following a call at around 6.40am this
morning.

Fire Crews and specialist Technical Rescue crews are in attendance and have been
working to free the driver who was badly trapped.

The driver of the train has now been removed from the train and has been conveyed
by ambulance to hospital. He is believed to be badly injured but the full extent of his
injuries is not yet known
