Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Present Prize to Christmas Card Competition Winner

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) would like to invite all members of the media to the prize presentation of our Christmas Card Competition winner at 9.30am on Friday 18 December at St John the Baptist CE Primary School, East Avenue, Leicester LE2 1TE.

The winner of the competition, a card designed by Ana Ugrinic, was picked from across four schools’ entries within the Leicester city area and is used as the LFRS Corporate Christmas card for 2009. Helene Sutliffe, Educational Team Co-ordinator for Community Safety at LFRS, said:

“I'm delighted that at this busy time of year the schools have supported this initiative. Children are very effective in spreading the fire safety message to their families and the wider community, which we hope will ensure that future generations don't suffer the dreadful consequences of a fire in the home.”

The prize will be presented to Ana Ugrinic by members of LFRS’s Community Safety Support Team and Firefighters from Central Fire and Rescue Station.
