Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Attend Factory Fire
At 19:55hrs on 08 May 2009, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to an incident which involved a fire at a factory on Station Road, Old Dalby, near Melton Mowbray.
There was no one in the property and at its height, ten appliances and the Aerial Ladder Platform where in attendance. The whole factory was involved in the fire and two further ALP were requested from Central Fire and Rescue Station and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service but these were not needed as the firefighters brought the fire under control.
At the time of release, LFRS are in attendance at the incident with three appliances using five hose reel jets in damping down the premises. Fire Investigation Officers are due to start their investigation when the property is safe to enter.
