Firefighters Clean up for Charity!
Firefighters from Central Fire and Rescue Station extend an open invite to its annual car wash at Morrisons, Freemans Park, Leicester on Sunday 30 August 2009 between 10am - 4pm.
The all-day event on Sunday 30 August will enable members of the
public to have their car given a gleaming shine by their local
firefighters, who will be onsite to help you brush up on your personal fire
and driving safety.
There will be a chance to make a charitable donation upon exit, to say
thank you to the heroic men and women of your local fire and rescue
station. All funds raised on the day will go to the Fire Fighters charity
and the Help for Heroes charity.
Chris Rollestone, Crew Manager at Central Fire and Rescue Station, said:
"This is a great opportunity, to raise money for two worthwhile charities
and to get your vehicle cleaned at the same time.
Throughout the day our firefighters from Blue Watch, Central Station
will be cleaning vehicles for charity. The day will give local people the
opportunity to meet the firefighters who help to protect this
community.
"This event has all the makings of being a fun and positive event, with plenty to talk, see and take part in, and all the money raised throughout the day will be going towards a fantastic cause.”
