Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Search For An Apprentice

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) have an exciting apprenticeship opportunity within their vehicle workshops at the headquarters in Glenfield, Leicester. LFRS is looking for an individual aged 16-24 years who is enthusiastic about working with vehicles and interested in the Fire and Rescue Service.

The successful applicant will undertake training with LFRS’s vehicle workshops helping and learning to maintain the whole emergency fleet including fire engines, support vans and response cars.

The three year apprenticeship will include fortnightly blocks of study at Stephenson College in Coalville on an established fire vehicle engineering program.

All applicants must be available for an assessment day to be held at Stephenson College, Coalville. On the day candidates will be tested on their literacy, numeracy and an auto select test (general motor vehicle test) and will also undertake an interview.
