Cheques to be Presented to Charities Thanks to Rudolph Collection
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite members of the media to an event on:
12.30pm Wednesday 14 April 2010
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Anstey Frith, Leicester Road, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8HD
Following the traditional Rudolph Christmas Charity run, Ian Scarrott, Deputy Chief Fire and Rescue Officer, will be presenting cheques to the sum of £10,000 across eight nominated Leicestershire charities.
Nicola Finnie, Secretary of the Rudolph Committee, said:
‘The success of the Rudolph Charity run and the total money raised all comes down to the hard work of the volunteers who gave up their time and of course the people of Leicestershire who gave generously despite the difficult economic times. Without a doubt the money raised will make a difference to the recipients.’
This year’s beneficiaries include Mablethorpe Holiday Centre, Friends of Sycamore Court, Leicester Hospitals Charity - Breast Care Unit, Leicester Downs Syndrome Group, Imperial Avenue Infant School, Reality, Mosaic Disability Services and Wishes for Kids
