Visit to Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service by the High Sheriff of Leicestershire, the High Sheriff of Rutland and the Bishop of Leicester, Wednesday 21 July 2010

The High Sheriff of Leicestershire, The High Sheriff of Rutland and the Bishop of Leicester along with their partners will officially visit Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters on Wednesday 21 July 2010, 10am. Also attending on the day will be the Reverend John Bird, who is the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) Service Chaplain.

The visit will allow the dignitaries an overview of the service LFRS provide and an opportunity to meet with the Chief Fire and Rescue Officer, Dave Webb and other Directors. The dignitaries will visit Fire Control, meet with representatives of the Prince’s Trust Programme and Community Safety Support Team. They will then proceed to Southern Fire and Rescue Station on a fact-finding visit, where they will have the opportunity to find out about mass decontamination and new dimensions capabilities. There may be an opportunity to view and take part in a small rope rescue demonstration if they so wish.

Members of the media are invited to attend on Wednesday 21 July 2010 at 1pm.
