Melton Mowbray Fire and Rescue Station Pre-Planning Consultation Event

A media opportunity for your reporters to see the plans for the refurbished Fire and Rescue Station at Melton Mowbray. The event will take place on Wednesday 18 January 2012, between 6pm and 8pm, at the Fire Station.

Plans and artists impressions will be available for comment prior to submission for planning permission.

The plans have been developed in conjunction with fire crews to ensure the Station provides suitable facilities to accommodate the recently introduced day crewing duty system as well as the existing retained duty system.

The original building, built in 1936, will be sympathetically refurbished retaining key historical features, but will be far more energy efficient and suitable for modern day firefighters.
