Cheque Presented to Charities Thanks to Rudolph Collection
Members of the media are invited to attend Service Headquarters on Friday 3 April at 12:30pm, where a cheque will be presented to a representative from each of the charities by Ian Scarrott, Deputy Chief Fire and Rescue Officer.
The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Rudolph Committee are pleased to
announce that the 2008 Rudolph Fund collections raised a grand total of
£13,824.29.
Zoe King, Rudolph Fund Secretary, said:
“Many thanks go to the volunteers who gave up their time and of
course the people of Leicestershire who gave so generously in these
difficult economic times. The money raised will make a huge difference
to all of the beneficiaries.”
The beneficiaries include Leicestershire Downs Syndrome Group, Autism
charities – REALITY & ASPIRE, The Laura Centre, Friends of Sycamore Court,
Hannah Edwards Cancer Appeal (Neuroblastoma Society), Wishes 4 Kids,
Leicester Hospitals Charity – Breast Care, and the Children’s Holiday Centre –
Mablethorpe.
